We created a collaborative project that transformed an abandoned house in Rijiuna, Latvia. Inguna Audere evoked the previous inhabitants by using the iconic image of hanging fiberglass clothes on a clothesline. Michael Rogers engraved the windows in an attempt to objectify the soul of the house. Kazushi Nakada acknowledged the buildings passing from existence by painting the building white. Imants Kikulis explored the essence of the house through experimenting with a pinhole camera and also documented the entire project. Ultimately the collaborative process became an action in which evidence exists in the form of a series of documentative images. We created a website to further track the effects of time on the altered house. (Inguna Audere, Imants Kikulis, Kazushi Nakada, Michael Rogers) http://www.abandonedhouse.lv/project"
